Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced on April 6, 2026 that it has opened its 100th hotel in Mexico, marking a milestone in the company’s Latin American expansion.

The milestone follows a period of rapid growth. In March 2025 the company reported nearly 90 hotels in Mexico, and the number of rooms had risen 90 % over the previous five years. The new property brings the total to 100, effectively doubling the footprint in a market that hosts a mix of leisure, business and cultural destinations.

Mexico’s tourism sector continues to expand, with 47.8 million arrivals and $35 billion in foreign‑exchange revenue reported in 2025. The country’s goal of becoming a top‑five global destination by 2030 provides a strong backdrop for Wyndham’s continued investment.

Adding the 100th hotel strengthens Wyndham’s global network and positions the company to capture growing travel demand in Mexico. The expansion is expected to boost ancillary revenue streams and reinforce the franchisee base in a high‑growth market, while the company’s portfolio of 15 brands across 50 cities supports a diversified mix of midscale, upper‑midscale, soft‑brand independents and all‑inclusive resorts.

Geoff Ballotti, President and CEO, highlighted the company’s record room openings and global growth, noting that the 100‑hotel milestone is part of a broader strategy to deliver strong performance across regions. Gustavo Viescas, President of Latin America & the Caribbean, emphasized that Mexico remains a key market and that the momentum is opening doors for growth in high‑potential locations. Maria Carolina Pinheiro, VP of Development for Latin America & the Caribbean, added that owners value Wyndham’s brand strength, commercial reach and hands‑on support.

The milestone is supported by a network of strategic partnerships with operators such as Alzen, Bel Air, Optima, Grupo Hola, FibraHotel, Fibra Inn, Palladium Hotel Group and Decameron All‑Inclusive Hotels & Resorts. These collaborations, combined with the introduction of the Wyndham Alltra brand in 2021, have helped the company capture demand for accessible, branded all‑inclusive experiences and are expected to drive further growth in Mexico’s evolving hospitality landscape.
