Wipro Limited announced that it will acquire the IT services arm of Singapore‑based Olam Group, Mindsprint, for an enterprise value of $375 million. The deal is part of an eight‑year strategic transformation agreement with Olam valued at over $1 billion, with a committed spend of $800 million annually. The transaction is expected to close by the end of June 2026.

The acquisition expands Wipro’s footprint in the food and agri‑business sector and adds a portfolio of clients and technology assets that complement its existing services offering. “Wipro's strategic engagement with Olam Group is an important step in expanding our farm‑to‑fork capabilities and scaling the impact of Wipro Intelligence across the food and agri‑business industry,” said Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro. “By bringing Mindsprint's deep domain expertise and IP‑led solutions, together with Wipro's consulting‑led and AI‑powered capabilities, we aim to unlock growth opportunities, catalyse innovation, and drive market‑ready transformation for Olam Group and our global clients across the industry.”

Mindsprint employs more than 3,200 professionals and generated $135.6 million in revenue in calendar year 2025. The unit’s services are largely sourced from its parent, Olam Group, and its acquisition provides Wipro with a captive delivery relationship that is expected to be accretive once integration is complete.

Olam Group, a Singapore‑based global food and agribusiness firm, reported $50 billion in revenue in 2025 and employs nearly 40,000 people. The divestiture of Mindsprint is part of Olam’s re‑organisation plan to focus on its core operating businesses and unlock shareholder value. “This transaction marks another milestone in Olam Group's ongoing reorganisation plan, as we sharpen our focus on our core operating businesses and unlock long‑term shareholder value,” said Sunny Verghese, CEO of Olam Group. “Mindsprint has been incubated and scaled within the group as a strategic technology partner, playing a critical role in driving transformation across our global supply chains.” “We are pleased to partner with Wipro on our transformation journey. Wipro's scale, consulting‑led approach, innovation investments, and Wipro Intelligence position it well to advance Olam Group's mission‑critical programmes and drive scalable outcomes.”

The announcement was well received by investors, reflecting confidence in the strategic fit and the long‑term revenue visibility that the $1 billion transformation deal provides. Analysts noted that the acquisition is Wipro’s largest to date and that it strengthens the company’s consulting, platform, and industry‑specific capabilities in a high‑growth vertical.

The deal positions Wipro to capture a larger share of the food and agri‑business market, leverage its AI‑powered platforms, and deepen its consulting‑led delivery model. By securing a captive client and a multi‑year contract, Wipro is expected to achieve higher operating leverage and improved margin stability in the coming years, while also expanding its presence in the Asia‑Pacific region. The transaction underscores Wipro’s strategy of using acquisitions to build sector expertise and secure long‑term revenue streams.
