Warner Music Group Corp. announced on April 13, 2026 a minority investment in TuStreams, a leading independent platform focused on Música Mexicana. Under the agreement, WMG will become the global distribution partner for TuStreams’ catalog and future releases, and will collaborate on artist signings, A&R, and creative development. The investment amount and ownership percentage are not disclosed.

The partnership taps into the explosive growth of Música Mexicana, which saw a 440 % increase in streams on Spotify between 2018 and 2023 and accounted for 7.5 % of U.S. music sales in the first half of 2023. Mexico ranks 14th globally in music markets, with streaming making up over 90 % of recorded music revenue. By leveraging TuStreams’ talent‑scouting and entrepreneurial vision, WMG gains a pipeline of emerging Latin‑music talent for its labels and publishing arm.

Alejandro Duque, President of Warner Music Latin America & ADA, said, "TuStreams is a force at the center of one of the most culturally significant movements in music today. Música Mexicana is a global priority for us—it's one of the fastest-growing and most impactful genres worldwide. This partnership deepens our commitment to investing in the leaders of the movement." He added, "Our role is to provide the global muscle—taking the incredible roster that Tony and his team have built and plugging it into our worldwide distribution and marketing network." Tony Larios, founder of TuStreams, noted, "This move is all about leveling up. We've built a powerhouse at TuStreams, and Warner Music Group is coming in as a strategic partner to help us scale faster and farther than we ever could alone." He further elaborated, "Our artists now get the best of both worlds—they keep the independent hustle and culture that defines TuStreams, while gaining access to Warner's global infrastructure to take their music to every corner of the world." Max Lousada, CEO of Warner Recorded Music, added, "This partnership represents an important step in our strategy to expand the global footprint of Música Mexicana. We're excited to work with the TuStreams team to bring this vibrant music to even more fans around the world."

The deal follows WMG's recent acquisition of Revelator, a digital music distribution and rights‑management platform, underscoring the group's broader strategy to strengthen its independent music services. While the financial terms of the TuStreams investment remain undisclosed, the partnership is considered material due to its potential to generate new revenue streams and enhance WMG's competitive position in the Latin‑music sector.

By securing a distribution partnership with a platform that has already cultivated successful artists such as Grupo Firme, TuStreams brings a proven track record of talent development. The collaboration is expected to accelerate WMG's penetration into the Latin‑music market, potentially increasing its share of global streaming revenue and providing a new source of growth in a genre that continues to expand rapidly worldwide.
