Walmart has broadened the use of Synchrony’s CareCredit credit card, now accepting it on Walmart.com and at every Walmart and Sam’s Club location across the United States. The expansion covers a wide range of health and wellness products, including medical supplies, fitness equipment, and sleep essentials, giving CareCredit cardholders a larger selection of items they can finance at the point of sale.

The move builds on CareCredit’s existing in‑store acceptance at Walmart and Sam’s Club for eligible health and wellness purchases. With more than 12 million cardholders and acceptance at over 290,000 health and wellness providers and retailers, the partnership extends CareCredit’s reach into Walmart’s online platform and broadens the product categories available for financing. This increased flexibility is expected to drive higher basket sizes for Walmart’s growing health and wellness segment.

The partnership aligns with Walmart’s omnichannel strategy and its focus on expanding health and wellness offerings. By providing a convenient financing option, Walmart aims to enhance customer convenience and capture additional sales in a category that has seen steady growth. Synchrony’s Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Health & Wellness, Beto Casellas, said, “The healthcare journey extends far beyond the doctor's office, and we're committed to connecting consumers with credit options so they can access health and wellness products and services at their local retailer and during the moments that matter most. Expanding our relationship with a trusted retailer like Walmart is a pivotal step in giving millions of families the flexibility and convenience to pay for their wellness needs where they shop.”

The expansion signals Walmart’s commitment to offering flexible financing for health and wellness purchases, potentially boosting sales in that category and strengthening its competitive position in the retail health‑and‑wellness space.
