Wytec International Inc. (OTCQB: WYTC) announced on February 19, 2026 that it has entered into a co‑development technology agreement with Apex Protocol IP LLC, a Wyoming‑based intellectual‑property holding company owned by Omnia Capital. The partnership will jointly develop an AI‑powered public‑safety monitoring platform that combines Wytec’s Smart Sensors and AI threat‑detection capabilities with Apex Protocol’s proprietary 500‑point safety index, five‑protocol assessment system, AI safety intelligence, automated reporting, and a ChatGPT‑based voice agent named Wyatt AI.
The pilot test of the integrated solution is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2026 and will be deployed in a municipal environment that leverages Wytec’s existing Master Service Agreement with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). The NCTCOG civic marketplace, which includes more than 90,000 members such as city and county governments, transportation authorities, police stations and school districts, will provide a broad user base for the pilot. The collaboration is intended to open a new revenue stream for Wytec’s public‑safety portfolio and to strengthen its competitive position in the AI‑driven public‑safety market.
Wytec’s financial performance has been challenging in recent years. Total revenues fell to $131,077 in 2024 from $255,634 in 2023, while net losses increased to $3,672,367 from $3,311,013. The company’s earnings have been declining at an average annual rate of –9.6%, and revenues have been declining at an average rate of 44.5% per year. Wytec has a working‑capital deficit and expects to need approximately $4.2 million in additional capital over the next twelve months to fund operations and repay debt. The co‑development agreement is therefore a strategic effort to diversify revenue sources and mitigate the financial headwinds that have weighed on the company’s performance.
William Gray, President and CEO of Wytec, said the agreement “represents a significant step in advancing Wytec’s Public Safety platform connected to its MSA with the North Central Council of Governments.” The statement underscores the company’s focus on leveraging its existing government contracts to accelerate the adoption of the new AI‑powered platform.
The partnership positions Wytec to address the growing demand for advanced public‑safety solutions while competing against other AI‑driven monitoring platforms. If the pilot demonstrates the promised capabilities, Wytec could expand the platform to additional municipalities and potentially capture a larger share of the public‑safety market, which would help offset the company’s current revenue decline and improve its long‑term financial outlook.
