XCharge North America, the U.S. subsidiary of XCHG Limited (Nasdaq: XCH), has entered a strategic partnership with JOJO Superfast EV Charging to deploy a high‑power electric‑vehicle charging network across Illinois. The collaboration will see XCharge manufacture the chargers and manage every site from concept through operation, providing a turnkey solution for the state’s growing EV market.

The network will feature XCharge’s battery‑integrated C6 Smart DC Fast Chargers, each capable of delivering 400 kW DC fast charging even in grid‑constrained locations. Nine initial sites will be positioned at Menards stores, with the first operational site opening on April 2, 2026. The deployment is designed to accelerate EV adoption in rural and suburban Illinois, where traditional grid upgrades would be costly and time‑consuming.

XCHG’s financial performance has been challenging, with first‑half 2025 revenue at $12.5 million and a net loss of $7.3 million, a 38.2% decline from the same period in 2024. In 2024 the company generated $42.2 million in revenue but recorded a $13.1 million loss, driven by trade‑policy turbulence and evolving renewable‑energy regulations. The new partnership is therefore a significant revenue‑generating opportunity that adds a recurring stream from site management and maintenance, helping to offset these headwinds.

Management highlighted the strategic importance of the deal. “Our goal at JOJO’s is to build the most accessible ultra‑fast network in the state, and XCharge’s unmatched technology and hardware are the keys to making that scale possible,” said Joe Sheehan, CEO of JOJO Superfast. The partnership also follows XCHG’s February 2026 framework agreement with Germany’s EnBW, underscoring the company’s broader international expansion strategy.

Illinois is actively expanding its EV infrastructure, with state programs such as NEVI providing significant funding and a target of one million registered EVs by 2030. The new network positions XCharge and JOJO to capture a share of this growing market, while also demonstrating XCHG’s ability to deliver battery‑integrated, high‑power solutions in challenging grid environments.

The deployment marks a key milestone for XCharge North America, expanding its U.S. presence and creating a sustainable revenue stream that supports the company’s long‑term growth amid ongoing financial headwinds.
