Xeriant received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office on April 2 2026 for its patent application (Serial No. 18/623,359) covering a proprietary multilayered fire‑resistant composite and its manufacturing method, the core technology behind its NEXBOARD composite wallboard.

The allowance validates years of development in Xeriant’s DUREVER advanced‑materials platform. The technology offers lighter, stronger, and more fire‑resistant panels, targeting aerospace, construction, energy, and transportation sectors. Xeriant completed a manufacturing and quality‑control certification review with a nationally recognized laboratory several months before the announcement.

CEO Keith Duffy said the milestone “validates years of development in our DUREVER advanced materials platform” and highlighted opportunities for strategic partnerships, licensing, and commercialization. The company is preparing a continuation application to broaden claim coverage, pursuing international protection through a Patent Cooperation Treaty filing, and advancing trademarks for DUREVER, NEXBOARD, and “Technologies That Define The Future.”

The patent allowance positions Xeriant to strengthen its intellectual‑property portfolio and supports its broader strategy of developing and commercializing eco‑friendly technologies. Although the company remains pre‑revenue, the approval signals progress toward monetizing its materials platform and may open new revenue streams through licensing or joint ventures.

The announcement underscores Xeriant’s focus on advanced materials and advanced air mobility, reinforcing its role as a technology incubator and accelerator for disruptive innovations.
