ZenaTech, Inc. has finished the critical infrastructure and assembly‑line build‑out of its 16,000‑square‑foot Spider Vision Sensors (SVS) facility in Taiwan and has begun producing printed circuit boards. The plant is expected to reach full operational capacity within the current quarter, positioning the company to supply NDAA‑compliant components for its ZenaDrone platforms.

The move to in‑house component manufacturing is a cornerstone of ZenaTech’s strategy to win U.S. defense contracts. By eliminating dependence on restricted Chinese parts, the company satisfies the National Defense Authorization Act’s supply‑chain security requirements and gains a competitive edge in the growing Group 1‑2 expendable‑drone market. The facility also supports the planned expansion of the Phoenix, Arizona assembly plant, where final assembly for Department of War customers will take place.

ZenaTech has historically operated at a loss over the past twelve months, but the new Taiwan plant is expected to tighten production costs and improve gross margins. Management projects that the tighter control over component sourcing and manufacturing will reduce per‑unit costs, thereby expanding operating margins as volume scales. The company’s DaaS and enterprise SaaS segments continue to grow, providing a recurring revenue base that offsets the upfront investment in the new plant.

CEO Shaun Passley said the SVS facility “is a critical milestone that enhances control over key component parts used in ZenaDrone products.” He added that the plant “strengthens our supply‑chain resilience, enables greater customization, and positions us for disciplined, scalable growth.”

Looking ahead, ZenaTech plans to expand the Phoenix plant and accelerate its subscription‑based Drone‑as‑a‑Service model. The company believes that the combination of domestic manufacturing, vertical integration, and recurring revenue streams will drive profitability in the coming years.
