Versa Networks and Zscaler announced a new integration that connects Versa’s Secure SD‑WAN platform directly to Zscaler’s Internet Access (ZIA) service. The partnership removes the manual configuration steps that have historically slowed SASE adoption, enabling automated tunnel creation and intelligent point‑of‑presence selection for Versa customers.

The integration is designed to accelerate SASE deployment by eliminating the need for on‑prem appliances and reducing the operational burden on IT teams. By automating the connection between the SD‑WAN edge and Zscaler’s Zero‑Trust Exchange, the solution delivers faster, more reliable branch and campus connectivity while maintaining the security posture that enterprises demand.

Key technical features include self‑healing networking that automatically reroutes traffic in the event of a link failure, and dynamic PoP selection that directs traffic to the nearest Zscaler data center. These capabilities reduce latency and improve user experience, especially for distributed workforces that rely on cloud‑based applications.

Strategically, the partnership positions both vendors to capture a larger share of the growing SASE market. Versa gains access to Zscaler’s extensive cloud security platform, while Zscaler expands its reach into the SD‑WAN space, reinforcing its ecosystem strategy and supporting multi‑vendor SASE architectures that many enterprises are adopting.

Justin Lau, Director of Technology Ecosystem at Zscaler, said, "Versa's automated integration with Zscaler Internet Access helps customers accelerate secure branch connectivity while reducing operational complexity. Automation plays a key role in helping organizations deploy and operate Zero Trust architectures more efficiently across distributed environments." No statement from Versa leadership was provided in the announcement.
